MEMBERS of the trucking industry will have the opportunity to speak with Sydney Ports CEO Grant Gilfillan on 25 February, as they share breakfast in celebration of TruckWeek 2010.

Gilfillan is just one of a number of guests who will be attending events at the Port as part of TruckWeek 2010.

TruckWeek 2010 aims to educate and inform the community about the importance of the trucking industry, issues the industry will face in the coming years, how to drive safely around trucks and careers available.

Each day this week, truck drivers are invited to share a cooked breakfast and to speak to industry leaders about issues affecting their profession. As well as senior staff from Sydney Ports, drivers will have the chance to meet with state members of parliament and leading trucking operators.

The breakfasts will take place from 7am to 8.30am on Simblist Road, Port Botany.
